Quality Service. Quality Prices. Quality Products.

The Short Version

Toast is a strong system. The difference is mostly in what you pay for, and when.

Hardware

With Toast you buy the hardware, or take higher processing rates instead. With TableTurn through me, you use our hardware at no charge.

Monthly Software

Toast's software plans run from $0 to $69+ a month. TableTurn has no monthly software fees on our current program.

Add-Ons

Toast add-ons are reported at $75/month for online ordering, $50/month for gift cards, and $50/month for loyalty. With TableTurn, online ordering, gift card processing, and rewards are free.

Cash Discount

Toast's own support site says its Dual Pricing isn't available to existing Toast customers yet. If you're on Toast today, switching gets you a cash discount program now.

Sound Familiar?

These are the complaints that come up again and again about Toast — and how I handle each one.

“I can't tell what I'm actually paying.”

“Scalable packages make it hard to determine the exact costs.”Forbes Advisor, Toast POS Review, April 2026

With me: hardware is free to use, there are no monthly software fees on our current program, and online ordering, gift cards, and rewards are included. Your processing rate is quoted up front.

“When something breaks, I can't reach anyone who knows my system.”

“While user reviews are still poor, its BBB rating has improved.”Forbes Advisor, Toast POS Review, April 2026

With me: you call the same local rep who installed your system — 24/7 once you're live.

“Nobody really trained my staff.”

A recurring theme in Toast's Trustpilot reviews.

With me: I train your team one-on-one, on-site, before install day, so they already know the system the first night it's live.

“It's built for a bigger restaurant than mine.”

“Best for Big Restaurants, Overkill for Others”NerdWallet, Toast Review headline, August 2026

With me: TableTurn is set up for how you serve — quick service, café, pizzeria, bar, or dining room — and you don't pay monthly for software you don't use.

Toast vs. TableTurn, Line by Line

Toast doesn't publish its prices — its pricing page sends you to a sales demo. The Toast figures below are as reported by independent reviewers. Your quote may differ.

 Toast (as reported)TableTurn through QCS
POS hardware Buy upfront (starter kits reported at $1,113–$1,454), or $0 upfront with higher processing rates. Free to use. Our equipment, no purchase or lease. Returned if you leave.
Monthly software $0 (Starter Kit) to $69+/month (Point of Sale plan). $0 on our current program. A program offer, not a contract term, so it can change.
Online ordering Add-on, reported at $75/month. Included.
Gift cards Add-on, reported at $50/month. Free gift card processing.
Loyalty & rewards Add-on, reported at $50/month. Free rewards program.
Setup, install & training Upfront implementation cost that varies with your setup. Free menu setup and installation, plus one-on-one staff training on-site before install day.
Cash discount Dual Pricing for eligible new customers only; “not yet available to existing Toast customers.” Available, including restaurants switching from Toast.
Card processing Must use Toast Payments. Reported in-person rates of 2.49% + 15¢ to 3.09% + 15¢, depending on plan. Same rule: processing through Electronic Payments is required. Rates are quoted for your business.
DoorDash, Uber Eats & Grubhub Direct integrations: delivery-app orders flow straight into the POS and kitchen. Not yet. Delivery-app integration is in development.
Support 24/7 chat plus phone support. Even so, support is the most common complaint in Toast's Capterra and Trustpilot reviews. 24/7 from the same local rep who installed your system and trained your staff, backed by Electronic Payments' support team.

When Toast May Be the Better Fit

I'd rather tell you now than have you find out after switching. Toast may still be the better fit if:

  • You run payroll through Toast's built-in payroll and don't want to move it
  • A big share of your orders come through DoorDash, Uber Eats, or Grubhub. Toast connects to those apps directly, so their orders go straight to your POS and kitchen. TableTurn doesn't do that yet; it's in development.

For almost everyone else, send me your statement and I'll show you what switching saves.

Look at Your Toast Bill

The plan price is rarely the whole story. Pull your last Toast invoice and processing statement and look for these lines. The first five are $0 or included with TableTurn on our current program (any remaining Toast hardware balance is still yours to settle). Processing I'll quote for your volume.

Switching Without Losing a Night of Sales

We build your menu before go-live and schedule the install around your service hours. Before you switch, check your Toast contract's end date and early termination terms — I'll go through it with you so there are no surprises.

Questions Toast Owners Ask

Is TableTurn cheaper than Toast?

Often on hardware and monthly fees, since TableTurn hardware is free to use and there are no monthly software fees on our current program. Your processing rate decides the rest, so I won't promise a number until I see your statement.

Can I keep my Toast hardware?

Generally no. Toast's system is built around its own devices. With TableTurn you use our hardware at no charge, so you aren't buying new equipment to switch.

Do I have to use your processing?

Yes — processing through Electronic Payments is required, the same way Toast requires Toast Payments. That's how free-hardware, no-software-fee programs like this one work.

Will I lose online ordering if I leave Toast?

No. Online ordering is included with TableTurn, and orders flow straight into your POS and kitchen.

What about my Toast contract?

Check your agreement for the end date and any early termination fee. Send it with your statement and I'll help you figure out the right time to switch.
